TWO (2) posts in one day? I’ve been busy.

Got motivated and jacked Emma up, slid some ramps under the front tires, and cut a box down for layin’ upon.

Pulled the oil pan plug, and brother… that shit is DARK and smells a little like gasoline. That’s probably not great.

But then the time came to remove the oil filter, and friends, I have only myself to blame for how hard that mfer was cranked on. I COULD NOT get it off.

So! Trip to the local O’Reilly’s!

The oil filter wrench worked like a charm, and we even put in a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil! We’ll see how that goes. The stuff is obviously made with diesel fuel (verified by reading the label) because now my garage smells like an Army Motor Pool.

Even got some quick releases for the battery! That battery alone is a constant money pit.

Worth noting that the oil pressure line – that white tube runing over the top of the oil filter – did not get oil into it when I started the car, but mysteriously, the oil pressure gauge immediately peaked to 85 PSI. O.o

We should definitely not be at 85 PSI with a much thinner (10W30) oil. Nicht gut.

Seems like that oil pressure adapter and/or the oil pressure guage are gebrochen. Ya kwim?

Think this little fella might be clogged. That’s a cheap fix(?).
