Plugged and Ready

Friends, I finally ordered the right drain plugs... and installed them!

One step closer to carpet!

And to that end, I laid out the sound deadener today (without removing the backing exposing the adhesive) - to see how much we'd need and how it would all fit together.

I am pleasantly surprised!

Next we'll actually stick it to the metal... then we'll knock around from the other side - find out where it goes "tink" rather than "thump" - the "tink" areas will get a second layer of deadener!

You can see here that I bought a second box, just in case!

Additionally, the day has come.

Remember that box from like... 18 months ago? Yeah... it's the carpet.

As a preliminary step, I stuck it out in the sun for about 45 minutes, just to see how it worked out....

Once I brought it back inside, it started to regain actual shape. I'm pretty excited about this. Once we have the deadener in, we'll start with the carpet.
